Alicia Prendergast is the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at A&N Loan Hub Limited. She possesses over twenty (20) years’ experience in Human Resource Administration and Customer Service. Since 2018 Ms. Prendergast has served as the Chairman of A&N’s Board of Directors, where she provides leadership and guidance for the strategic direction of the company. Her ultimate goal in this capacity for the board is to produce and put into practice clear policies for a better corporate management, which will eventually lead to A&N Loan Hub becoming one of Jamaica’s leading microfinance organizations.
Ms. Prendergast’s professional experience spans both local and international markets in sectors such as Information Technology, Border Protection and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), where her employment history includes but is not limited to – Startek Inc., Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (California), eGov Jamaica Limited, Jamaica Customs Agency, Statistical Institute of Jamaica and the National Housing Agency.
During her tenure at eGov Jamaica Limited, she piloted numerous Human Resource projects including the implementation of the Government of Jamaica’s Human Resources System -MyHr Plus, where she led the team to its successful implementation while being the subject matter expert. Other projects to note is the implementation of the company’s Records and File Management System that was developed and implemented under her tutelage.
Ms. Prendergast was an active member of the organization’s Change Management, Policy, Wellness and Occupational Health and Safety Committees. She also represented the Human Resource Department in the company’s ‘BizDevOps’ initiative which was geared towards fostering an agile work environment. Ms. Prendergast holds a Master’s in business administration (MBA) from the University of South Wales, and a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies (Marketing) from Northern Caribbean University (NCU).
